- Bachelor of Arts in Education, Arizona State University
- Total years teaching experience = 16 (public education, private tutor, AP mentor, substitute)
- AP English College Board Instructor for 16 years
- AP English College Board Table Reader for 3 years
- Gifted and Talented Certification
- Texas Educator Certificate, Highly Qualified
- Previously taught various levels of high school English in Arizona, Florida and Texas
