QUARTER #1 LIST OF IMPORTANT DUE DATES


→ Wednesday, 8/24 - Bring in signed syllabus slip to class. 

→ Thursday, 8/25 - Bring composition books/baggie to class; make sure brainstorming is uploaded to www.turnitin.com by 7:00 a.m. (brainstorming is for a grade)

→ Friday, 8/26 - "Library Scavenger Hunt" is due at the end of class. (this will be for a grade)

→ Tuesday, 8/30 - Bring selected independent fiction novel to class.

→ Friday, 9/2 - "Picture Me" Project is due in class. (this will be for a grade)

→ Tuesday, 9/6 - "Personal Essay" Rough Draft is due to www.turnitin.com by 8:00 p.m. (this will be for a grade)

-- Writing / Quiz over "The Cask..." and "The Scarlet Ibis" - 9/12

--  Plan to be at least halfway through your first independent novel by 9/14; Indy reading day on 9/13. 

-- "The Most Dangerous Game" 2 day writing test - 9/14 and 9/15 

-- Rewrites for 2 essays responses during PLC due by Wednesday, 9/21

-- Final typed Personal Reflection Essay due to www.turnitin.com by 10/3

-- Peer Editing due to www.turnitin.com on 9/26 by 11:59 p.m.

-- Independent Novel Assignment due to red table folder at work station on Monday, 9/26.

-- General information QUIZ next Thursday over procedures, website, Communication Triangle, Appeals, vocabulary and other concepts covered the first 5 weeks. 9/29. 

-- Handwritten 2 Page Expository Essay assignment due to in class on 9/30

-- Final Personal Narrative Essay due to www.turnitin.com on 10/3.

-- District Common Assessment is 10/6 and 10/7 for English. 2 days.

-- Finish your Independent Novel by next Friday, 10/7.
